  • Why choose Capes & Crowns?
    We are the leading provider of kids birthday party planning and entertainment. We’re different from the other companies. Capes & Crowns has been in business since 2017, Our parties are carefully crafted and customized to each client’s specifications. We offer a Pinterest worthy party, sure to impress all of your guests, while you sit back, relax and actually ENJOY the party! Our characters are extremely talented and meticulously trained to deliver a genuine performance. With Capes & Crowns you won’t get a cookie cutter party or cheesy costume. Hire us, and we’ll make your party MAGICAL.
  • How do I book?
    Booking is easy and fast! Click BOOK NOW and send us your party details Once we have confirmed availability, we will email you a link to submit the contract and pay booking fee. We are typically out and about making magic at various birthdays and events (especially on the weekends). Please allow at least 24-48 hours for us to respond to your booking request. All requests are handled on a first come first serve basis. Once you have selected a date, you will be sent a link and password to access our contract. By submitting a contract, you agree to our TERMS & CONDITIONS. We recommend that you read all policies prior to submitting your contract. The contract and non-refundable booking fee are both due within 24 hours to secure the date. If not received within the 24 hour grace period, the date will be become available to the next interested client.
  • What happens after I book?
    After we receive both your contract and deposit, we will email to confirm your party details and receipt of your deposit. We will be in touch again 14 days prior to your scheduled date with a final payment reminder. Payment is due 7 days prior to your scheduled party either by check or credit card (5% service fee applies). We will send out a final confirmation email the week of your party with last minute reminders and tips for a successful party. Of course, you are always welcome to email, call or text to discuss your party and ask any questions you may have prior to your party.   • How far in advance should I book my party?
    We recommend booking as soon as possible. We’ve had parties book up to a year in advance and we’ve also had parties book a week before. We typically are NOT able to accommodate parties or visits booked with less than 7 days notice, though we will try our best to make it happen. Availability is first come, first serve.
  • Can I request a specific performer?
    If you have a specific performer in mind for your princess party, we will do all we can to accommodate your request. While personal schedules may prevent one specific performer from being available, we can assure you that all of our performers are extremely talented and well trained to provide for a magical experience for your child and guests.
  • How much is the booking deposit?
    The booking deposit is $50 which reserves your date and time upon booking. This amount is non refundable but may be transferred to a new date upon rescheduling or cancellation. The booking fee is also deducted from your final balance due. We will hold your booking for 24 hours. If the deposit is not paid within 24 hours of the invoice being sent, your date will open up. Kindly note, there is a 5% service charge for using Paypal. Checks are not accepted for booking fee, but are accepted for the final balance.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept credit cards (5 % convenience fee applies), cash, check or money orders made payable to Capes & Crowns. The balance of the party is due seven days prior to the party date. There will be a $40.00 for any returned check. Please contact us in regards to paying your balance or with any questions about payment.
  • Is there a travel fee?
    A travel fee of $1.25 for every mile traveled outside of 10 miles from our home base will be added to the final balance. Distance is calculated from "2770 E Franklin Rd Ste 1, Meridian, ID, 83642” using Google Maps.
  • How many characters can I invite?
    You can invite as many characters are you would like. Pricing depends on the type of package. Please go to Bookings to learn more.
  • Can I tip my performer?
    Most certainly! You are not required to tip, but it is greatly appreciated! Just like tipping the wait-staff at a restaurant for good service, it is customary to tip your character/character assistant if you are extremely pleased with the outcome. Our package price does not include gratuity. We recommend a standard 15-20% gratuity, but anything lets your performer or hostess know that you had a MAGICAL time! Please note that for packages of $1,000+ gratuity of 15% will be automatically added to the total. Performers and Character Assistants will receive the entire tip.
  • What do I need to provide?
    The only thing we require is open space for activities/games. Most families host their parties in a large space, like your living room! We will always alter our activities to fit whatever space is provided. Other than that, not a thing! Each of our packages includes a character assistant that will provide all of the character's necessities. The assistants will assist the characters in running the games/activities and answer any questions you may have during your party.
  • I want to add a special touch to the party layout. Is that okay?
    Absolutely! If you'd like your character performer to partake in something else (i.e. opening presents with your little one), we can trade that out for a game. Please never hesitate to ask if you'd like something special!
  • What can I expect when our character arrives?
    Your character assistant or character performer will call you upon their arrival. They should arrive anywhere from 15-30 minutes before the time they are supposed to walk through the door. Around 5 minutes before the start of your event, they will leave their carriage and come knock on the door. Then the party begins!
  • Do you work with charities, non profits and volunteer organizations?
    Yes we love giving back and making a difference in our community! We occasionally offer free visits for local charities, schools, volunteer based events and families in need. If you would like to submit a request, please reach out via bookings@capesandcrownsidaho.com
  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
    In the case of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances/illness, Capes & Crowns reserves the right to reschedule your party. If you choose to cancel the party due to severe weather or illness, please remember that your booking fee is non-refundable. We will gladly work with you to reschedule your party for an alternate date. Once your party is booked, the party may only be postponed/rescheduled one time. Based on availability, we will work with you to reserve an alternate date for your party. If you decide to cancel your party for any reason, the booking fee is non-refundable.
  • Do you just do kids' parties?
    Of course not! We can provide Capes & Crowns fun for various parties and events, with guests of all ages. We are available for grand openings, community events, school outings and more! Capes & Crowns is also available for clinics, hospitals, daycares and charity events, often at discounted rates, sometimes even on a volunteer basis (depending on the event and the activities involved). Our party planning services are also available for all types of functions including bridal showers, baby showers, tea parties and more.
  • Why don't you offer "Disney" Princesses?
    Simply put, we do not offer “Disney” princesses because we are not “Disney”. Our characters come from the classic fairy tales. It is not our intention to violate copyright laws, so we make our performing characters different from nationally known, copyrighted characters using custom designed gowns, jewelry, and wig/hairstyles of our own creation. Capes & Crowns is not affiliated with Disney in any way and does not distribute, sell, or wear any Disney products. Should you have the need for a licensed, copyrighted character or product at your princess party, we encourage you to contact the company/copyright holders for your specifically requested character.
